The other thing that Jack has really been working on this week is floating. He doesn’t know what it is called. He just knows that he is supposed to rest when he gets tired or can’t get to the wall. He doesn’t like to float. This summer he would get really upset when we put him on his back, but he is coming along. I can really see a big difference from Monday to Friday with regard to floating. He is beginning to relax and appreciate the break it gives him. Sarah said that as he continues to work harder swimming, he’ll like to float more.
I’m so pleased with these lessons. For the first time I see that Jack’s enthusiasm in the water is being channelled positively. He is learning invaluable safety skills. That is worth all the money we’re spending!
